About Sea View Pediatrics

Sea View Pediatric Medical Associates has earned something rarer than a great reputation: the trust of Orange County families across generations.

Many of our previous patients are now bringing their own children to us. This is a testament to what happens when a group of pediatricians builds a practice the right way and never stops.

With four locations in Aliso Viejo, Laguna Hills, Irvine, and San Clemente, on-site Pediatric Sports Medicine, and affiliations with four major regional hospitals, we offer a depth and breadth of care that families throughout Orange County have relied on for more than five decades.

Our Story

Our founding partners have worked together since 1973, when they first came together with a shared vision: to build a pediatric practice grounded in genuine relationships, medical excellence, and a deep commitment to the communities of Orange County.

Sea View Pediatric Medical Associates, Inc., opened its first location in Laguna Hills in 1995 at the Saddleback Valley Medical Center, and in 2011 relocated to our current home in the Taj Mahal Medical Center.

A second location in Aliso Viejo followed in 1999 within the South Coast Health Center, later moving in 2015 to the 2 Journey Medical Plaza. Our San Clemente office at the Talega Health Center opened in 2005, serving families throughout San Clemente, San Juan Capistrano, Dana Point, and Rancho Mission Viejo. And in 2011, we opened our fourth location at the Canyon Medical Plaza in Irvine, extending our reach to families in Irvine, Newport Beach, Lake Forest, and Tustin.

Pediatric Sports Medicine

We know that young athletes need more than a sports physical, and when injuries happen, they need specialized care fast. At our Laguna Hills location, Dr. Matthew Kornswiet offers comprehensive Pediatric Sports Medicine services in the suite next to our main office.

Dr. Kornswiet is board-certified in pediatrics with an additional certification in sports medicine, and brings special expertise in assessing and treating bone, joint, and tendon injuries, as well as concussion evaluation and management in children and adolescents.

On-site pediatric physical therapy is also available. For student athletes across Mission Viejo, Lake Forest, Laguna Niguel, Rancho Santa Margarita, and beyond, this means specialized sports medicine care is available within the practice your family already trusts, without a separate referral pathway. If further evaluation is needed, Dr. Kornswiet can coordinate referrals to Rady Children’s Health sports medicine specialists.

Access When It Matters

Kids don’t get sick on a schedule, so we’ve built our practice around making access as easy as possible across all four locations.

Same-day sick appointments are available so that when your child wakes up not feeling right, you have somewhere to go. Telehealth options are available when in-person visits aren’t possible. Our telephone advice nurses at 1-844-GET-CHOC are trained to help you assess your child’s symptoms and determine the right level of care, whether that means coming in to see us, or managing things at home.

We also maintain close partnerships with urgent care centers such as the Rady Children’s Urgent Care, Irvine for times when our offices are closed.

We ask that you always call ahead before coming in, so we can minimize your wait time and make sure we have everything ready for your child’s visit. Same-day urgent slots fill quickly, so early calls are best.

Our Immunization Philosophy

Sea View Pediatrics follows the immunization guidelines recommended by the American Academy of Pediatrics, and we feel strongly about why. We believe all children should receive the recommended vaccines on the schedule provided by the AAP. Vaccines are safe, effective, and one of the best tools we have to protect children and the communities they’re part of.

We welcome all questions and concerns about vaccines and are always happy to discuss them during your child’s visit. We are committed to providing evidence-based guidance and to helping every family understand why we believe vaccination is one of the most important things you can do for your child’s long-term health.
