His expertise includes the diagnosis and management of common pediatric sports injuries such as Little League Shoulder, Little League Elbow, Osgood-Schlatter Disease, Sever’s Disease, patellofemoral knee pain, ankle sprains, ligament injuries, tendonitis, overuse injuries, stress injuries, concussion management, and shoulder and knee conditions unique to growing athletes.
As an integral member of the Sea View Pediatrics team and the Rady Children’s Health (formerly CHOC) Primary Care Network, Dr. Kornswiet works closely alongside our general pediatricians to provide coordinated, whole-child care. Families benefit from seamless communication between their child’s primary care physician and sports medicine specialist, ensuring that injuries and athletic participation are managed within the broader context of each child’s overall health and development.
